Broadway credits include Finian’s Rainbow as Bill Rawkins, Lennon, Caroline Or Change (Audelco Award, Best Featured Actor) as the dual role of The Bus and The Dryer, Chicago as “Billy Flynn”, Passion, Someone to Watch Over Me, Rumors, Amen Corner and Getting Away With Murder. Mr. Cooper has also performed across the country in the National tours of The Tap Dance Kid, Eubie, and Whistle Down the Wind. His Off-Broadway: Caroline Or Change at The Public Theatre, Thunder Knocking On The Door at the Minetta Lane Theatre (Audelco Award Nomination), Marco Polo Sings a Solo at the Signature Theatre, Avenue X, Police Boys; Four Short Operas for Playwrights Horizons and Colored People’s Time at the legendary Negro Ensemble Company, as well as benefit performances of Hair and A Wonderful Life. He performed also in the role of soloist at the US Premiere of the Seven Scenes from Hamlet by the Spanish composer Benet Casablancas at the Miller Theatre New York on February 25, 2010 (Perspectives Ensemble, cond. Angel Gil-Ordóñez).
